I do love this image. It is an acrylic on illustration board. It has some technical issues for me, I’m not sure if the female looks exactly right but it doesn’t really feel awkward. I saw this courtship take place in my grandmothers backyard, as I hurriedly snapped a picture I forgot to focus and that’s why I’m uncertain about the accuracy of the female. I have to say I did my best and it remains one of my favorites. I lived in Virginia at the time so the title seemed natural.
