This is an acrylic on illustration board. I painted at first, just the birds on a generic branch. The first time I showed it I began thinking I should do more with the image. Wouldn’t you know someone wanted to buy it. This is back when money was tight and it took some real intestinal fortitude to turn down a fair offer. In the end it was the right decision. We as artists need to follow our heart and better paintings are the usual result.
